Deep-dive into bike design, you will quickly understand the importance of correctly specified, genuinely lightweight wheels have on overall cycling dynamics. The one component with the biggest influence on how fast you will go on your bike. Rotating weight affects acceleration. Aerodynamics affects your ability to hold that speed. The correct tyre profile will affect your grip, confidence and endurance. That’s why we've always prioritised wheels, as there is literally too much riding on it.

Our world-class rims (in both Aluminium and carbon) allow us to build some of the most competitive wheels available anywhere, with carbon wheelset weights ranging from 1139g for the TD35 to 1335g for the 60mm deep CD60. Our Aluminium range starts at 1445g for the CDA30 up to 1595g for the CDA17 29er XC race wheels, our heaviest wheel - if you could actually describe any of our wheels as ‘heavy’. All rims are tubeless (except TD35 tubular race wheels) and we do not use hookless.

Strength and reliability are important, not just weight. All HUPcc wheels are UCI legal for competition worldwide. UCI approval is an important step in our development process, lab testing proves our wheels easily pass the 40J impact drop test, with many achieving double the minimum strength requirement.

Our comprehensive range uses specific rim widths to match the tyre requirements of their intended discipline. From the narrow 17mm inner width CD35 (designed for UCI legal cyclocross) all the way up to the 29mm inner width CD40 designed for the latest MTB tyre shod Gravel race bikes. We have the right wheelset, for any serious build.

All our wheelsets are now based on our own range of centrelock CNC ratchet hubs with either 36 tooth or 54 tooth engagement, developed to further reduced rotating weight, whilst increasing performance. With weights from just 283g per set, these stunning hubs are now available separately for wheelbuilders too.

Tying together our rims and hubs, are the industry standard Pillar T302+ stainless steel butted and bladed aero spokes, with Sapim Polyax and Sils nipples - all available separately for ongoing servicing.

Every wheel is handbuilt in Scotland, carefully assembled using high-temperature Aluminium grease, going through a minimum of 4 tension cycles to bring to a controlled and highly accurate true, well within ISO 4210 standards. These are not machine assembled then ‘hand finished’ or ‘hand inspected’, but 100% handbuilt, using the latest Park Tool equipment. No short-cuts or automation is used during any stage.

The highest quality and performance, does not mean the highest price. Our range RRP starts at £499 and tops-out at £999, making the high street brands pricing look crazy. Good luck trying to find like-for-like handbuilt (or even machine assembled) top-spec wheels for anywhere near these prices and weights.

We are very proud of our wheel building track record over the last 8 years and especially proud of our riders success at the top-level of their sport, including Team GB (alongside many other National and International squads). We couldn’t even begin to count-up the global podium tally.

Whilst all our wheels are covered by our standard warranty for the first owner, we also offer our Crash Replacement scheme to subsequent owners too. If the worst is to happen, we can take back your crash damaged wheel and rebuild it at a significantly lower cost than outright replacement.

All wheels are built to order in our workshop in the Tweed Valley, Scotland. Please allow approximately 15 working days for dispatch, but the majority of orders leave sooner than that. We export worldwide every week using FedEx and ParcelForce in dedicated wheelset boxes. Below is a quick summary of the wheelset range;
