HUP evo in Belgium for Kerst periode cyclocross

A week after the launch of the new UCI approved HUP evo, the HUPcc squad took the newly-built bikes over for their first UCI races in Belgium, for the traditional Kerst periode racing block over the Christmas and New Year holiday.

At all levels - World Cups, Superprestige, Exact Cross or the x20 Trophee - it's big fun and a big trip. Depsite the conditions, a 100% finishing record for all our bikes. They raced on a mix of the hand-built (UCI approved) HUP carbon wheels (clinchers and tubs) running our favourite Challenge tyres.

Weather was very 'Belgian' so no shortage of mud, huge grids (nearly 100 riders sometimes) in all age categories and that fantastic Veldridjen atmosphere, only Belgium can do. Beerum, Zolder, Loenhout, Hulst & Hamme covered all levels of the sport for our riders.

Well done Noah, Ruan, Jude and Callain for some first class rides! All riders were gridded on the back row - they all carved through the field, with a finish inside the Top 10 for Noah White. These are really tough races, to be gridded at the back!

Events were very well organised, as always and the supporting parents did a superb job, in sometimes very testing conditions. Belgain beer and Belgian chocolate seemed to relax them in the evenings ;-)
