HUP evo: UCI approved cyclocross for '24

Since it's launch in 2019, the HUP evo has enjoyed 5 years of global racing success in CX, Road & Gravel events. For 2024 the HUP evo has been re-engineered, so the game has just moved-on again.

After extensive laboratory tests and scrutiny by the UCI, Switzerland the new HUP evo in frame sizes 44cm to 58cm (alongside our carbon aero wheels) have now been awarded UCI approval for cyclo-cross, road & gravel racing competition worldwide. No limits to where this weapon can race and win.

The already lightweight, triple-butted 7005 Aluminium frame is now even lighter, thanks to its new spec frame with round profile seat stays. The design update also sees those stays dropped down the seat tube, increasing rear compliance and reducing weight. Along with other tubing upgrades, weight has reduced from 50g -140g, depending on size.

We’ve also introduced some new colours to the range, so the 8 sizes of frames (from the tiny 37cm for riders approx 4ft+ up to the 58cm for 6ft+ riders) are now available in Racing Red, Belgian Blue, Stealth Black and Cool Silver.

Finally, to satisfy our mantra (light enough to win, yet still affordable) the price for the new HUP evo is the same as the original, so you won’t lose sleep after a racing accident. A brand new frame, for the same price as a carbon repair? Now you can with one of the lightest UCI approved frames & carbon wheels available. It’s a win, win.

All bikes are designed and built in our race workshop in Peebles, Scotland. HUP frame weights start from 1255g (using a 410g, full-carbon fork) and our hand-built wheelset weights start from 1140g. Riders are regularly surprised that our built bikes are lighter than many big-brand carbon alternatives. HUP! HUP! HUP!
